....The History of the Native American  Flute ....

The Native American  Flute dates back over twenty five hundred years. it has always and will forever remain a "haunting sound" of spirituality and inner peace.

"YA-OH-DA-WAS-TA" (Seneca for flute) was played by young men at night to court and romance the lady of his desires.   it was also used certain celebrations, and at sunrise to welcome the new life of a new day.

today the Native American Flute is played in the woodland hills by the cascading river and the philharmonic...

Roy Peters  plays a relaxing moment  at ' The Lodge on Lake Clear' ..."a most beautiful place to take your family"

it is an easy instrument to play, and fun to explore the ancient sound which is truly unique to the flageolet (love flute). from mountain top to living room. this is truly an enjoyable instrument to explore one's inner song ....

tuned to the pentatonic scale - each flute is hand made -each "YA-OH-DA-WAS-TA" is hand tuned, and no two are exactly alike. custom made flutes are available.

Story Teller Flutes play exceptionally well crafted and will offer endless hours of enjoyment for both the player and listener alike. each flute tells its own story - made with love & respect from the tree in which it was grown.

each flute is signed by " The Story Teller". it is said that the tree of which the flute is made will give the flute its first special song ...find that song and you will know the feeling which is the YA-OH-DA-WAS-TA.
